King Of Spring
The King of Spring Mountain Bike Race
Spring is back! Come join us for a great day of racing at the Spring Mount Ski Area in scenic Schwenksville pa. on August the 2nd. Those of you who have been involved and around the sport will remember some great racing back in the 1990’s and early 2000’s.We have laid out a brand new course with some of same trails and sections like the super technical switchback climb and of course the infamous pit which is great for spectators. Heading to Mt. Snow Vermont or Windham New York for the Kenda cup races? Well this is a classic ski slope course with lots of climbing and technical sections which will help you get your climbing legs and technical skills back and ready to go. For those mass racers this will definitely help get you prepare for French creek, neshaminy and the killer Bear Creek finals in September. There have been lots of changes at Spring the last several years so while you’re here check out the zipline tours and make a reservation to come back and enjoy. There is also a Tiki Bar restaurant with a grill your own barbeque and awesome bar, breakfast buffet and pizza place right at the mountain.Camping is available right across the scenic perkiomen creek along with the beautiful perkiomen trail that runs from green lane park and can connect you all the way to Philly. So lets see you could come up Saturday and get a guided highly recommended pre-ride of the course with some local hotshots, have dinner and drinks at the Tiki bar, camp along the beautiful perkiomen creek, wake up and have breakfast at the buffet, warm up on the scenic perkiomen trail and refuel with a pizza before you leave. Its all right at the mountain and sounds like a great race weekend so come on out and help us get this race going again. For you day trippers we are only about thirty or so miles from philly and right off the northeast extension of the pa. turnpike. So tell all your friends and we will see you then!
